Some designs become the blueprint. Inspired by the simplicity, quality craftsmanship, and thoughtful construction of the Classic Bed, the Classic Sofa brings the same architectural silhouette to the living room. It features a solid wood frame for a timeless look and signature Japanese joinery that doubles as a foundational element and defining visual detail.

Assembling in less than five minutes, the Classic Sofa also shares the same simple set-up as the Classic Bed. Precision-cut wood pieces slide together without tools to create a sturdy, streamlined foundation. Beneath the cushions, extra-strength slats add lasting support while allowing for airflow and minimizing noise.

Additionally, the Classic Sofa strikes the right balance between structure and softness. Throughout the design process, proportions, angles, and cushioning were thoughtfully considered to create an enveloping, relaxed form without losing its shape.

Generously padded cushions soften the architectural wood frame. A combination of multi-density CertiPUR-US® foam, feathers, and polyfil creates a supportive yet lived-in feel, designed to recover its shape while becoming more loungeable over time.

Every material was selected with longevity in mind. The solid wood frame’s finish is resistant to stains, scratches, and moisture, while removable slipcovers are crafted from soft, durable performance fabric that is stain resistant and machine washable.

The final form: a sofa that feels distinctly familiar, yet entirely its own. From exposed joinery to tool-free assembly, the details that have long defined the Classic Bed are now reimagined for the living room.
